I think I must be stupid here but I can't work out how to install an internal HDD. I see an internal sata connector that is being used for the esata connector, I assume I need to just take that out and then fit a normal sata cable from the motherboard to the hdd ? Also, where does the hdd get its power from ?

Yes you have to disconnect the existing ESATA connector from the board. In the box your reciever came in theres custom cable it has a SATA connector and a 4 pin connector for power which connects to the 4 pin header on the board.

Doh! Thanks.

Installing a 2.5" SATA Hard Disk in D800HD

1) Pop off the cover.

2) Connect SATA cable provided with D800HD to Hard disk.

3) Place Hard Disk with circuitry facing up (I found more space this side up).

4) Plug power cable on the SATA cable into vacant slot inside D800HD.

5) Unplug SATA cable that is used for eSATA inside D800HD and replace with SATA cable now connected to your Hard disk.

6) Pop back on cover

7) Power up box and initialise the Hard disk via blue button menu (takes about 2/3mins)
