Fake IRD

Hi all
Just received a new box to do a 4010 with card
So out with the glitcher to unlock the boc card
Unlocked after about 3hr cool so to read in nagra
Opps ird all 0s. no prob ird on scart 12 53 EB 8F
so programmed the card
Put it in box eng menu says Not paired.
So out with the jtag and soldering iron
A few burns later ready to connect to comp
Ran sdt thing the bk was different to card
and the ird didnt match the one on the scart
Ok it must be my sodering so desolder clean up and resolder
No.s still the same so programmed the card as jtag info
Card in said ok and got all the channels
The moral then is dont always trust whats written on the scart

I havent that was the no. on the sticker which was wrong

i had the very same problem a short time ago,possibly you have a cloned box which was the case with the one that i had probs with..

Wouldnt that mean the atmel had been lifted
If it was it was done perfectly
without a trace but when i was given the box
no pin no. was set

the box that i had did not have the pin no set either, i have never attempted to clone a box,not certain how to do that..

not so hard for a trader to lift and replace atmels without detection - afterall they do it for money so they should be able to do it right!
