there both cheap and cheerful boxes , you will pay slightly more for the F5 i personally would stick to the F3 get to know how everything works and then decide if you want to go down the route of the F5, both open source boxes the F3 has a good picture to be honest

Just got a Skybox F3 yesterday, got it working and I'm impressed. But the channel list is awful, so I need to start boning up on how to edit channel lists, using the guides found elsewhere on the site. But to get back on topic, on my very limited experience of the F3 box I recommend it. Just cant beat it for the price.
