Explorer Problem

Explorer Problem, I have a Dell Vostro running XP pro with 5 separate accounts on it.
The problem is that when I Log On to my account and use explorer I’m bombarded with popups, but when I log on as some one else and use their Explorer on their desk top there’s no problems. I’m guessing I’ve downloaded something that’s latching onto my account only. I’m running MacAfee and Google popup blocker but they have no effect.
I’ve thought of creating a new account for my self and using that which does solve the problem but then I can’t easily access my email and as I’m the admin causes other probs as well.
Is there some way of copying the explorer settings from one account to another account.

not without taking the malware you have on your current account.

To be clear, you use the admin account and this is the one affected?

What explorer settings do you want to copy, favourties or other things as well.

You can find your favourites in,

c:\documents and settings\<userid>\favourites

Try an alternative anti virus to see if that picks anything up, e.g. the free version of AVG or Avast.

Also try ad-aware, spybot search and destroy and/or Windows defender.

do not think this is going to be hard to sort out just run something like spybot as it sound like you have Spyware on you pc

once you get it sorted out and got rid of the pesky stuff

you should realy sort out your account so you are not using the admin account as your normal user account.
