EX5000 PVR hard drive help

Hi all
I have just got a eurovox ex5000 pvr and it all works well
I am trying to put a hard drive in it I have a Samsung 80 gig drive but the ex5000 will not see it
The hard drive is formatted in windows and the modal number of the drive is hm080hc how do I get this drive to work have I got to unformed it if show how

All drives need to be un-formatted.

Depending on your O/S system you need to follow one of the following

Connect your 80Gb HD to PC via a 'USB to 2.5" IDE" lead.

1) Pre Win XP - use FDISK in DOS to do the job.

2) Win XP on - Right click on "My Computer" icon - left click on "Manage" - left click on "Disk Management" in the "Storage" section on the left hand side - right click on the hard drive in the right hand panel (careful here, make sure it's the 80Gb one) - left click on "Delete Partition".

Thats it, though it might be cheaper to buy a new 120Gb HD if you dont have any way of connecting your existing HD to PC.

I agreed with dolphin
ive fitted about 4 of these new euros & i just put brand new 120gig hds in straight from the wrapper i think the box formats the blank disk itself im only presuming the last quote as the disks have been unformated when iv fitted them
& ive been told the max hd it will take is a 120g is that correct
