So there I was last weekend watching the Eurovision song contest having consumed more than my safe daily units of cheap red from Bargain Booze.
The Russian grannies came on and I thought "thats the winner there, that is", so out came the ipad, log into Blue Square, click click click, 5 quid to win. How delighted I was to get 18/1. Then I saw the odds for some of the other acts. Ukraine 40/1 ! Italy 14/1! Surely worth a punt ?
More money is loaded into my account and bets placed. Nodded off on the sofa waiting for the results, but awoke to the news that none of my bets were winners. Russia was close but not quite good enough.
To today I log in to Blue Square again. My bets are still open...?
So it would appear I hadn't selected Eurovision 2012 in my wine fueled bet-fest, but rather Euro 2012. No wonder the odds were so good..... d**khead or what?
I don't even like football much, but Come on Ukraine! and Italy! and Russia!
