Can anyone advice me on scanning word documents,
I have a Epson Stylus photo RX520 scanner/printer and have been trying to scan a word document as a word document so that I can then further type onto it.
The problem is I only have the options of copying as a jpg or the like instead of a .DOC.
On a old scanner and computer I used to use I can remember scanning and carrying on typing on to it, I assume I do not have the appropriate scanning software on my latest PC or I am just stupid and have not pressed to correct buttons?

Any ideas?

Most scanners are bundled with a document management software that will allow you to sacn a document and then pass it to Word, the scanner should of been bundled with OCR software (optical character recognition) that can decode the image into characters that can be edited with Word, you will need to install this m8
