LOL, I always said go for the Dreambox but nobody listened...
I will tell you why you have the EPG problem tho, because it is identical to the problem on the DBOX2 Enigma images.

Basically, NTL and Telewest do not support that "DVB Standard" for EPG transmission. Therefore, when trying to obtain the EPG, the software on the box more often than not will 'time-out', leaving you epgless. The best way to get at least some EPG is to make your signal level as HIGH AS POSSIBLE ... this will allow the EPG to be transferred just in time before the timeout period.

Its very possible to fix this problem by MODIFYING THE SOFTWARE... you will have to ask the original manufacturers to do this for you. Basically tell them that you need the EPG timeout increased to 8 seconds instead of the default value.

so all in all, the EPG sucks regardless! lol id put it down to software then lets hope theres an update o nthe way! also thinking abuot selling mines too! i dont use it since i got the replaybox!

Ur most welcome mate, i get full EPG on replay too! ive seen the dreambox and for some reason i dont like it the box itself but love the menu system! much better than the dbox and others.

i thought id mention it anyway........back to the epg, i get epg on some channels, but most dont have it, its a bit annoying not knowing whats coming on next or even whats on at the moment, hope some bright spark on here gets a fix soon...

ur lucky u get abit, i have None! it is annoying for this reason i dont use the vox! i doubt some1 one here can make a fix unless they get the source code and make changed. i doubt someone would be willing to dedicate that much time by then most people wouldve gone out and bought another box.

but ive been told there should be a update coming soon to fix the Epg and a few other little bits n bobs.

You know i said above that i get EPG on some channels, well i tell a lie....ive just noticed that i get an EPG on 95% of the channels............yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!, i never realised this before,
but the epg tells me whats on hours ahead, im in Brum, sig levels both 80% quality and strength, the odd channel doesnt show an epg, but, hey! what the hell. im not complaing..: party :

I get EPG on every channel but only for whats on now, can't figure out how to preview whats comming on later on this and other channels??

At risk of pointing out the obvious..... Does everyone know that if you press EPG and it's blank, just press the arrows and move around on the EPG and programmes start to appear???

not on mines it dont, i only get epg on a handful of channels, but do i care ?? do i feck !! hehe, would obviously be better if it worked properly but it aint no big deal, thats when the good old tv mag comes in handy.

lol yes m8, even gave the damn thing a whole day to catch any EPG!
