chris i use a clamp meter to check out the amps i was using and i was shocked myself lol.
I pay about £340 a quarter and was so annoyed i started testing everything turning it all off and one by one turning it on again.
fooking tumble dryer was taking up 11amps and she uses that every day... bought her a retractable line for the garden and now she is using that.
turned on the spot lights and the downstairs was drawing 7 amps ffs... bought her 3 nice lamps with energy savers in and now its 0.4amps
old washing machine was taking 9 amps so bought an A+ rated washing machine.
I heard about these phase things before that turns the wheel backwards but i think when an meter reader comes rund and see's the thing going backwards lol he might think what the fook.
But saying that if it was put on a timer and set for midnight
and for say 3 hours it might be alright would also depend ho fast it made the clock spin backwards ?
BUT TOTTALY ILLEGAL AND WE DONT CONDONE THAT!
but without out all that you can reduce bills by using energy saving bulbs, buying A+ rated machines and putting your washing out (when its not fooking raining lol) on a line and washing up your dishes (just like thy used to in the olden days).... turn things off and not leave on standby.
