Hi

mrs said shower in our bathroom not working after a bit of checking it looks like its the isolator switch causing the problem.

neon is on when switch on and off when off, 240v going to switch but only 68v feed to shower.

i have disconected the shower and its still the same so it does point to the isolator.

its a double pole switch with a neon across the output so what goes wrong inside the switch to cause that ?

sounds like the switch m8 you are getting high resistance across the poles.

A new switch sounds like the order of the day if you wanted to you could find out which pole is hi res by bridging them in turn then measure again

thanks for the replys, i got a replacment at local wholesalers and fitted the next night all ok. old one went in the bin..
