Edinburgh military tattoo

Hi guys,going to the tattoo on Thursday night but as iam a weegie have no idea of the area around the castle.What i would like to know is where is the closest place that i will be able to park without too much hastle,will be arriving in Edinburgh at 8pm.

you'll get parked on market street m8 down past where the ticket office is,
but to be honest i'd get the train and go for a right swally first.
i went to the tattoo one time and it was 2 hours of total arse numbing boredom lol.
couldn't be doin that again without some alcohol inside me

Or alternatively, you could go to one of the park 'n' rides at Hermiston or Ingliston.

If you're going for a bucket full, make sure you take a cargo along with you (as long as you're not driving), the prices will bleed you dry.

thanks m8 not really my thing either,the wife got free tickets and as i have never been before said i would go along (to keep the peace)

park and ride would of been the best bet if we had more time on our hands by the time it finishs and we get out i just want to get back on the m8 and head back west (early start friday morning)
