I done a bit of searching about this model and it aint a bad recorder for the money
Multi region outta the box
Plays DiVx outta the box
also suppose to record onto dvdr- discs too :)
all with standard firmware no hacks involved ;)
Napster has confirmed to me that its does play divx but yet to confirm about the recording onto dvdr- discs

but for the Bargain price of £60 defo woth the buy I would say guys

Note:also read about the unit getting hot ,Napster says his is fine but worth bearing in mind :)

A very cheap starter model I would deffo go for if I never had my liteOn

I didnt realise it was an offer M8 thought it was one of Asda's always low price's

sorry if the info is too late LOL

i can confirm they do record onto dvdr- discs and play back fine

Cheers Nap :)
u got yourself a good buy there m8 :)

wohoooooooooooooooooooo we've got a asda being built at the mo :)

The Model is Cyberhome 1600, cost £84 at my Asda, but still a good price. I have transfered video from a video camera without any problem onto DVD +rw without any problems for testing purposes, seem to work fine, same quality on the disk as viewed from the camera direct. It has got to be worth the money plus you get the Asda guarantee for one year

Powerviewer try a dvd- they work for Napster ;)

these have had a nationwide price drop(so the lady in Asda tells me) from £84.97 down to £68.94 not quite as good as the £59.99 but still a price drop and nice and cheap
and if u buy th MU model it records onto dvdr- and plays DivX and XviD ;)
