Anyone recommend a reasonably priced (cheap) DVD player that can play Div X movies as well........Cheers

Bought this Philips DVP3040 for my father-in-law for Christmas, great little machine. Got it from Argos then but they don't seem to do it anymore. Amazon do it for £31 and free delivery.

The same machine without DivX is the DVP3020 and you can read the reviews about it on Amazon. Strange but they are selling this one for £4 more.

There's a Wharfedale one on ebuyer for £19.99. Is pretty good but won't read hella cheap discs.

If you are looking for a better quality DVD player go for something like the Samsung HD-DVD950.

i use xbmc on xbox, they are cheap (around £40) can play nearly all media and have a hdd to ftp files too, but you will need a way to play homebrew.

philips 5960 is a very good player. has hdmi slot and usb slot. some sainsburysstores are selling these at £35.00. if your really lucky you may also pick up the hdmi cables they are selling for 99p !!
