Here's my guide for a DM800 clone and Blackhole.
DM800 HD PVR Clone Setup – Dream-Elite-BlackHole-DM800-2012-06-16-Sim2-SSL-84b
The software will amend /etc/fstab and add the following line to the end of the file:
- Unpack contents and Plug in all the bits except the power supply
- Download a suitable Image if you need to. Try www.filecrop.com . The Download is usually a rar file. If so extract the rar file using Winrar to an NFI file
- Insert a USB flash disk.
- Depress the small reset button at the front of the Dreambox and plug in the power supply.
Keep your finger on the reset button until the front display reads “Stop”. Release immediately and an IP address will show. Make a note of the IP address- Launch Firefox – (If you need a new image then download it from first.)
- Type in the IP address from the Dreambox into the address bar and wait for the FLASH screen.
Press the word Flash which is in some text on the screen
Select Browse and navigate to the place where you stored the NFI file.
These work:
secondstage-dm800-84.nfi (Required if the logo glitches or the boot process is too slow)
Dream-Elite-BlackHole-DM800-2012-06-16-Sim2-SSL-84b- Click the file name and select OPEN
Back on the FLASH screen press Flash.
Wait for a few seconds and then press the check box to Reboot when finished.
