TONS of THANKS for this Guide- YOU have generously shared a lot already. For clone Dm800 HD SE/SR4- can the same guide be used?

Hi, I am scanning at the moment, Thank you.

How is your tuner setup ?

Simple
Positioner
Coordinate's

If so use the sat finder option or you may find it easier just to install a motorised satellite list such as Catseyes or likra.

I managed to use the tuner configuration from another working box that i have, but my friend only managed to contact me this morning and advised to send across sattelites.xml file from filzilla - does it ring the bell?

Tomorrow I should be able to get Amiko 8140 HD Digital Satellite Receiver, as I was not sure if I will manage to get my TM800 working, so more challenges tomorrow. The same friend recommended that Amiko box, will give it a try, i can't get all the channel I want anyway.

Hi,
I am new to this forum but have the following questions. I have DM800HD and my is connected to Cable instead of satellite dish. Will this image work on this box? I am running enigma 2.

Thanks.

Any images will run with cable, it just detects the tuner as a cable one.

Although i do recommend using openATV

root@dm800:~# fdisk -l

Disk /dev/sda: 1007 MB, 1007681536 bytes

Units = cylinders of 1922 * 512 = 984064 bytes

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sda1 1 1024 984060 b Win95 FAT32

- The USB device is on /dev/sda1
Unmount it first
root@dm800:~# umount /dev/sda1
- To initialize (to ext3), one time only needed :
root@dm800:~# mkfs.ext3 /dev/sda1

Writing superblocks and filesystem accounting information: done-
Mounting the External File System / Flashdrive
root@dm800:~# mount /dev/sda1 -w /mnt/usb

The line mounts the device at the /dev/sda1 location to the /mnt/usb directory.

Now you can reference your flashdrive from the command line using the folder /mnt/usb.
Now your flashdrive will be available at cd /media/usb/

- Unmount if you don't use :
umount -f -l /mnt/usb
To view the unique identifier of the usb root@dm899: # ls -l /dev/disk/by-uuid/

- See memory amount on devices : df -h (this only once mounted)
root@dm800:~# df -h

Automount In the Terminal
To have your flashdrive mount each time your server is restarted, you must edit your /etc/fstab file. Some examples to Add at the bottom of your /etc/fstab file:
/dev/sda1 /mnt/usb ext3 defaults 0 0
/autofs /media/usb auto defaults 0 0
/dev/sda1 /mnt/sdb1 vfat auto,users,rw 0 0
/dev/sda1 /mnt/usb auto noauto,owner,user,relatime 0 0

If the image is DreamElite put an # at the beginning of the line
Change the attributes of FSTAB to 644

The first argument (/dev/sda1) tells the system what device to mount, and the second argument (/mnt/usb) tells the system where to mount it. The third argument is the filesystem type (ext3). The fourth argument (defaults) tells the system what options to apply to the device, so in this case we’ll just use the defaults. The fifth and sixth arguments (both zeros) tell the system if the filesystem should be backed up using the dump utility, and the second zero tells the system whether to process the device when a File System Check (fsck /dev/sda1) is run. Leave them both to zero for now.
