Dreambox and Network

Hi everyone I'm new to this dreambox thing but have been reading up on it to see if it is for me? One thing I would like to know is could I plug it into my home network router connected to nthell modem? Or would I have to put a splitter inline before the modem?

The dreambox needs its own cable feed; so you would need a splitter.
The network part is only for setting the box up, for streaming, and for recording, etc... so you would still plug it into your home router.
