i use azureus for downloading torrents
when i had 2mb bb it took forever to get anything i now have 10mb bb ( borrowed lol ) and this is still the case taking 3-4 days for a film can some one tell me if i am doing something wrong
or do i need to set azureus differently

Torrents depends on how many seeds there are. If there's only a few seeds then it won't be fast.

You can check your download and upload speeds at www.speedtest.net.

Try downloading this. It's about 5MB and from the Yahoo Office Attachments page. I usually just about max out when downloading from there.

i was getting 46 seeds a 97 in swarm but my upload speed is 3 times my download
the link you sent i downloaded in 3 secs but this is because i have removed the torrent and stopped the download

If you downloaded a 5MB file in 3 secs then your download speed must be ok.

I found that azureus was too complicated with too many settings. I use Bitlord...no settings just load and go. Does the job for me and I get over 900kB/sec on some downloads.

Az is bloated resource hogging crap and Bitlord is just plain crap
also you will find that BitTyrant is now banned on most decent sites as well
uTorrent is all you need ;)

Have you used the uttorrent speed guide to check that you have a port forwarded and that everything else is ok?

i am now useing utorrent and if asked i would tell all to use this faster and better thanks to all for their avice in sorting this problem
