Hi guys,
New to this board and on my way to my 5 useful posts . I would like to encourage you to the open source home automation platform Domoticz. It's a lightweight home automation system running on different OSes and on different hardware, including Raspberries and Synology. It supports a large number of (wireless) protocols and has a lot of connectivity options with third party tools like IFTTT.
I'm not the creator of Domoticz, but am a moderator on the forum.
Connection to this forum: I switch virtual switches in my home automation system using the script options in the /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Screens/Standby.py in my Dreambox / Vu+ so that I can control lighting in our living room.
Hope this counts as useful .
