Its folk wearing those masks in their car. In fact, someone went past me the other day with medical gloves and a mask on, whilst driving. What is actual need to do that? It's crazy. The other thing which made me giggle was an elderly in the shop. She had her medical gloves on and was handling her change, purse etc plus everything shed been bagging up (after the cashier had touched it) and then with gloves still on, started to fiddle with her mask. Anything at all that over her hands had just transferred onto everything else, including her nose and the medical mask, which was now firmly round her nose and mouth. The whole thing is a farce!

But the gloves dont do anything, you can't get through skin contact, you get it from breathing it in or through touching it then touching your face, gloves don't stop that.

The reason why medical where them is to stop cross contamination between patients as they change gloves between them.

Gloves remind you not to rub your eyes etc.
