Hi,

got a sly uk mini dish which is about 15-18 years old for Freesat on the TV & the lnb has been broken off by one of my boys, been told I will need a new dish & lnb by a sat engineer, is this correct? I know will need new lnb but nothing wrong with dish.

Thank you

So dish is not rusty? any photos. Suppose one could replace the dish and screws and lnb and refit new parts or is he going the whole replacement thing.

Maybe newer lnb is a different size than your old one?

You can buy lnbs on fleabay for mk4 dish configurations and also a legacy adapter bracket for the mk4 lnb to fit the older mk3 dish.

Here are some pics of dish

Looks like you just need a new lnb and lnb holder. That bit where its broken slides out of the arm by removing the round pin on the top of the arm that holds it in place.

You can buy new lnbs and arms off ebay .
Don't need a new dish
