Well I have got my sat set up (After the original thread I made where we all collectively got my mates DM500 motorised up and running), Anyway back to my install - I went for the Dm800 with a tm2600 motor and a 1m dish. After a bit of fiddling I got it all set up.

Now for the strange bit - We got a "proper" compass so we could get spot on due south (Just so happens that from my location due south is also spot on 4w sat) - So anyway we get due south and set it up using Gemini 4.6 and usals but apart from the 1st sat (4w) nothing else would pick up - 2 days I fumbled about and in the end we noticed that when usals was driving my motor to say 13e then it was actually going closer 19.9e (according to the motor markings). Now I know that given the fact that my location is Longitude: -3.9073° then the motor should read 13+3.9 = 16.9.......or dam close to it. So I went back indoors had a wee think......then thought some more and then BINGO I decided to lie to my DM800 and altered my location from Longitude: -3.9073° to Longitude: -0.0000° - It only bloody well worked. I have an excellent signal on all the sats from 15w - 33.0e - I haven't bothered to try any more extremities either way yet....but the fact is I have caught the arc.....But it still baffles the life out of me lol.

Has anyone had any similar issues to that above that i describe ? Also wonder if it is image specific - IE if i took my Gemini 4.6 off and replaced with say Jade PLI - then would my usals revert to normal ? Don't get me wrong I have absolutely no intention of doing something as daft as changing something that now works without issue.......I was just wondering if any of you guys had come across this type of thing before. And what was/is the cause of it.

********Could a MOD/Admin please move this to the Sat Dreambox section - I just realised that I have posted in the wrong section - Sorry bout that.
