Hi there

I have been out of sat for a while (having sold my box) but now i want to get a technomate 1500CI and was wondering if i would need anything else (as i still have sat dish and motor installed on roof.

On my old box (echostar 3000ip) it had outputs on the back to make the motor turn 36v i think on this new one i dont think it does. would i need to get a seperte unit to turn the dish or could i use the diseqc on the box?

Thanks

you can get a 'vbox' that can convert the diseqc signals to 36v motor control. The alternative is to use your echostar as the positioner to move the dish, but not ideal.
None of the new modern technomate range directly control 36v motors and its rare for any modern receiver nowadays.

or you can replace your motor....with the USALS function on diseqc motors (like the new technomate motor) works by inputting your coordinates of where you live and the dish will automatically move to any chosen satellite...much better than the 36volt
