Digivox 2007 Flashing Software ???

I Understand that the new DigiVox 2007 is the replacment for the slightly older starview box. (see link below)

Question is, if I needed to flash this box if the channels went off for some reason, what flash software would I use, would it just be the starview software or what ???

I dont see any software available for the digiVox.

Any info on this box is much appreciated :)

First time I've heard of these boxes. I don't think they are from the makers of Starview instead they look like they are released from the same makers of the Eurovox. Not a bad receiver though for that price, plus it has a proper 16:9 widescreen unlike the Eurovox and Starview.

Ok, I got some more info from one of the guys selling these box's on ebay, I had asked him what box exactly does this box replace, the eurovox or starview or what ?? and i asked him where do we get the software to flash the box's if the channels go off etc, this was his reply "quote" >>>

we,ll start from the start these digivox..i only got them in this morning but the guy i get them from is the main supplier to europe has never let me down in 7 years..he never quibbles about replacing boxes and always has a spare remote kicking about..he,s a gent,,this is the first i,ve put them up on e-bay i usually sell all around..but i,ve put this out to deal with the scottish guys for him ,so we,ll meet face to face etc.if you like..and they can be collected by yourselves or delivered that way you know where i am if anything goes wrong(which it wont).the boxes are all the best bits of eurovox and starviews in one box ..great to use instant 7 day epg picture and text excellant ,,tv size on the remote now intead of going into menu and some other bells and whistles...as for them going down ..it wont happen ever.theyve the same chipset as tw ..so if they go down so do all the tw,s ,,right now theyre picking up hid channels ,,movies sports etc..that legit boxes havnt sorted out yet..if and thats a big if they went down your only across the motorway so i could email you the fix or deliver it..but being honest theyre solid ..they scan themselves in 3 mins..any help you need i,ll guide you along but their piss easy and in 2-3 weeks time they,ll be silly money --this is get them in the doors prices..so people can start getting them in i,m getting 125 to 150 locally and thats without trying ,,they sell themselves .our philosophy is sell a lot with minimum profit but sell loads of them..if your selling them in 1s and 2s you,ll make good money.any other questions just ask me ,,but you wont be dissapointed in these little beauties

They are good boxes especially the EPG which is absolutely top banana.

I have been told the same about the support as the post you mentioned (Thomson i think you have posted from the Scottish seller and as he says the guy he gets them off is top notch) but i suppose time will tell.

For the price IMO this is a no brainer why buy a vox for £50 or so more?

normally when u look at eurovox and starview or dreambox they tell u full specs like processor type cam.etc

but these dont give any info on that

would be nice too see if they can handle what they saying about cc updates .etc

like starview's people were claiming they were the dog's b***x

but they fooked up on the first hit

time will tell

but for that price £75 +p+p

is a good price

plus it looks good

wonder whats really inside them hardware wise

Ive just had my dad order one, so we shall see how things go and report back, fingers crossed :)

ok , he Got the box today guys, after channel scan which took summit like 10minutes etc , all channels appeared as expected, there is the true 16:9 option as expected too which is good, and the epg appears to work fine, so hey ho , lol....so far so good, i told my old man to keep his eye on it over next few days to report anything..
hope this helps.

p.s
ohh and he says it a small sleek stylish modern looking silver box with a bit of black trim that would match any modern tv's etc.

ohh, and he got it from a very helpfull guy called thomas5110 on ebay.

p.p.s
as for my da taking pictures of the epg etc thats a no-no, lol, he can hardly figure out how to switch the box on never mind take photos and send them to me on the net etc, LOL, he aint got a scooby doo, but i did make a point of asking him was the epg working fine and he said it was.

Can you ask him if the programs in his favourite lists (or general list) have the name of the current program by the side of them like the Dreambox 500C has?
Also I'd love to know if these have a strong tuner like the Dreambox.

If yes to both the above then it sounds like the perfect box for me - strong tuner (like Eurovox) and excellent EPG (like Dreambox).

the channel names are just like the dreambox in that you have lots of channels that have two names etc and end in "hid" etc and all porn is there too also with duplicate channels, so theres going to be some channel deleting and name editing for him to do i guess, not a problem :)

I mean whats showing at the moment ie

123 - ITV1 (Coronation Street)
124 - ITV2 (Trainspotting)
165 - Fim4 (The Matrix)

Above is how I see the channels on my Dreambox, the Eurovox does not show what program is currently on (in brackets).

Just wondering how your dads box does it?

The true 16:9 option has got me tempted to buy this box but I will wait for a few months and see if they release an update for this on the Eurovox. I've had my Eurovox max for nearly two years now and touch wood, I haven't had any problems ever since I brought it.

i ordered 1 yesterday afternoon and had it delivered today.must admit im well happy with this little box.i had problems with my nokia dbox2 as i live in a low signal area so my picture was clipping and squecking a lot plus i could not run 2 spliters on my feed not even if 1 was just going straight into a tv for the ftv channels.but ive got this digivox today set it all up(i had to flash it as it came unflashed and that only took 2-3 mins to do dead easy)and boy i was well impressed the channels seemed to change a lot quicker, the epg is a lot better you can look hours and hours ahead.plus the picture was spot on and works exellent with my 40"plasma tv.and another plus ive now got 2 spliters running off my feed and it hasnt effected my picture at all(as they have strong tuners)

put it this way im so happy with this i have now decided im going to sell my trustie dbox 2 (which ive owned for 16-18 months)and out of the funds im goin to buy another one of these.

If you have the new firmware on the box, it does show you whats on now and next and if you press the epg button you can see the whole days epg on that channel.

Yes but I like the way the Dreambox shows whats on for a whole program list.
To do that on the Eurovox I would have to press EPG on each individual channel, its all there in front of you on the Dreambox.

Just to clarify, I mean one of the favourite lists.

I see what you mean mate but does it make a difference a box should have it in this way? To get the epg on all the channels is good enough for most.
