I did think 5 second penalty was harsh, it's a short run into a tight turn 1 and there was nowhere to go.
Maybe could have backed off but then could have needed up in 3rd or 4th.

I am not sure they apply the rules evenly all the time and this would have been a racing incident for Turn 1 or 2 at other times.

Max knew what he would get 5 or 10 seconds penalty but also staying in front gave him clean air and opportunity to increase his lead. Didn't work out the way he thought it would, oscar drove a very good race.

I have actually been warming to him a little recently, he just reminded me why I am not a fan!
Should have been more than a 10 second penalty. I remember when Vettel did similar but arguably less dangerous, and got a worse punishment. Tbh he should have got more for that also.

Yeah I would like to know how you fit a McLaren threw a 3 foot gap and a wall, when he had half a racetrack to the right . I think he was frustrated, and to be fair Piastri was doing a terrible job of trying to take Antonelli out.
