hi can someone tell me where the no update mod is on a ntl pace di4000-n box as my m8 asked if i can fix as when tw rolled cr4 his box stopped working as its on cr1

Reversing the no-update mod will not cure the problem - if it's a 4000N in Telewest it will not take the update, you will need to remove chips and reflash with a tw image to sort it. Unless you have the necessary equipment it's probably easier to just get hold of a genuine TW box.
