Im considering a move to canada and i know they have cable TV over there. My thinking is that i should be able to use the brute force settings to scan out there and itll only be a matter of getting the correct signal rates etc that are normally inputted by the "location" tab in most of the new images (although doing it by hand way always fun).

Any ideas or is it a case of selling on the Dbox2?

I don't think there are any images that support NTSC. I've never seen one. They probably also use different encryption systems than the UK.

NTSC is not the problem. You can select it in the video settings.
The major problem is the scrambling system and maybe 110 volt.

thanks for the replys, the voltage isnt a problem as i can get a converter to up the voltage to 240. so that only leaves me with the encryption systems that could be out there. Looks like its going to be a "try it and see" event.
