Data Recovery Software Needed

Hi

Hoping someone can help me out. Been meaning to backup hard drive but as usual didnt and now messed up.

Installed something a bit ago and somehow the installation files were on desktop, so when uninstalling I clicked on it when it showed me the path to the files. Next thing I know Folders and files on my desktop started vanishing.

Tried a few things but really need a full version of a good data recovery software if someone can help out.
