Custom notifications

Hi guys got HTC m8 android 6.0. I can't select custom ring tones for incoming calls. I made one myself I've sent it to the phone..in the Bluetooth folder but I can't add it to the notification folder even though I can see it with file manager?...any ideas? Ta

I'm grasping at straws here but you could try placing it in the music folder?

Just moved it to music folder , but it still isn't showing...I think this is new feature on android 6.0 marshmallow..HTC seem to have stopped it.

tried reeeboot..but not showing..worked from above link thanks Wiz569... using this

Ringtone list - add transferred music or sound file
Note: Using your device, you can add the new music or sound file to your ringtone list.

1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Tap Sound.
4. Tap Device ringtone.
5. Tap Add.
6. Tap either Choose music track or Music Player.
   Note: You can also tap Dropbox. However, you must log in to your account first.
7. Tap Just once or Always.
8. Tap the desired music or sound file and then tap OK.
