In all my years driving I've ever had one till this morning and I'm not sure how it appeared or why. Whats the script with size and what can/can't be repaired ?. This is front nearside bottom corner about a foot long clean crack (pardon the porno pun)
Im covered but does it affect your insurance or simply get it done private ?

It should not have a bearing on insurance as many policies have it built in/covered.
They might send you to a linked partner that does installs.
Might just be from a small impact and crack moved.

Generally any chip the size of a 5p coin they will attempt to repair, any chip larger than that, they will refuse.

Cracks are replacement only.

Insurance it is

Car hasn't moved for 2 days then missus spotted it this morning going work

if its a crack it can not be repaired and will need to replace the window so higher excess

Uk must differ from Irl then but noticed on commercial insurance was not covered when needed.

Notify a good window company and they will sort it all out for you and it does not affect your no claims in any way.

I've sent it through insurance cost me £60. We've a feeling it's kids throwing stuff, there f##kin murder round here.
M8 got half a brick through his while driving last week. Stopped but well gone and Police do shag all
