Covid 19 Vaccine

Look, the vaccine is a modified version of the virus so your body makes anti bodies to "help" you (I stress help you) to protect yourself from the full blown virus.

This ain't some make poison pumped in to kill the germs your own body hopefully builds a defence mechanism to fight the virus if and when you contract it.

I'm not arsed tbh about those who don't want it, I've have both vaccine jabs. I don't know what swings me over it might just be the bit we're you choke to death on a ventilator.

I don't tell anyone not to have it again not arsed about those who don't. I reckon if you refuse the vaccine and you need ICU due to Covid you should be refused.

My Dad got refused help with his heart issues due to smoking which eventually killed him, no amount of preaching stopped him smoking. The heart specialist basically refused specialised treatment till he stopped and I know it sounds awful but he was a fool to himself.
No vaccine? get a brown paper bag and pick your God

There are no lists of side effects on drugs. There are lists of possible side effects.
Just because Paco who was part of the trial in Spain developed a headache 2 days after trialling a drug doesn't necessarily mean the trialled drug was the cause. It can't be ruled out either so is recorded as a "possible" side effect.
Is it any wonder in these days of law suits that drug companies would try and cover themselves as much as possible? This is why the lists are extremely comprehensive.

I can't be arsed to try and find out but wouldn't be surprised if the list of possible side effects from the groups on placebos were just as comprehensive.
The current risk of developing a blood clot from AstraZeneca is 1 in 250.000 or 0.0004%. Below are the occurrences of developing a blood clot from being infected with Covid-19.

• Pulmonary embolism, or clotting on the lungs, occurs in 7.8% of people who have COVID-19
• Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), or clotting in the legs, occurs in 11.2% of people who have COVID-19
• Of those who have COVID-19 and end up in an intensive therapy unit (ITU), 23% will have some form of clot
• COVID-19 causes strokes in 1.6% of people
• Up to 30% of people who have COVID-19 will get thrombocytopenia, which is a lowering of the platelet count.

The problem we have are where people look at possible side effects and see them as the rule rather than the exception.

Vaccines get your vaccines, everyone needs a vaccine!
Not sure how to read that, "sit on the fence" reply. I'm not sure if it's a "for" the vaccine or a sarcastic "against" it reply.

Like I keep saying, if you prefer not to have the vaccine then thats fine, fill your boots.

I prefer not to die right now especially when a small needle can dramatically lessen the chances.

I really don't understand why people don't want to have the vaccine, what are they scared of?
Yet they will buy pills/powder of soft Mick with no teeth from down the road but won't have a vaccine
that is recommended by the worlds best Doctors/Scientist

Must be doing things differently now. My 2nd appointment was pre-booked on my 1st appointment letter for 12 weeks to the day.
Things have been moving so fast though so understandably changes are necessary.
Zero deaths recorded for the 1st time in nearly a year shows that the vaccine is having a positive effect. :D

m8 of mine who's had both jabs (not sure which) tested positive yesterday. He had his 2nd jab about 2 weeks ago. He felt sh*t and cough over the weekend so got tested. He's always out on the lash following what little guidelines there are right now so jab or no jab it was a matter of time.

he's nearly 60 so he's no spring chicken. Apparently he had a do for his daughter's 21st in the garden at home. He's do's are quite lively so I can imagine there been quite alot of young one's there .
What's the incubation period say from contracting to showing symptoms ?

Well anyway it just goes to show that even after both jabs you can still get it, he's been unwell as well. Wait till Sunday, ffs 2pm KO England. I know people who went to Blackpool Bank Holiday weekend the Saturday. They said no mask, no social distancing , nothing. It was like back to normal.
I think it's going to explode again! but the saving grace is the vast majority of the most vulnerable have already had it or are dead and thats a fact.

The vaccine is not going to stop you getting it. The idea is that it trains your body enough to recognise it and deal wtih it. I would imagine that you could still be unwell with it, even with the vaccine, but not unwell enough to require hospitalisation or worse

I get it but plenty dont and they think " That's it I'm safe!". The vaccine preps your body to defend against the best your body can. I think the numbers for people hospitalised after having both jabs is 2? 2 in how many millions ain't a bad strike rate for survival.

The whole Gov figures was and still is is based on how many need hospital treatment and eventually overwhelming our NHS. Now that the vaccine is showing it working by keeping people out of hospital it will slowly become no more of a worry (as it stands variant allowing) than influenza does and has done for the past 30-40 years.

Once they get the vaccine in tablet form which I read is close then things will have to get back to normal and if you have Covid isolate but life needs to get back to normality. It's destroying peoples livelihoods and making misery beyond belief and as it stands for no reason
