How long before symptoms show to being covid free?

My neighbour (anti vaxxer) reckons its 3 to 4 days....i'm sure its longer>>>

He's advising a neighbour who as it......grrrrrrrr

He's also saying after 3 days of having it you can't pass it on..

That's not true at all. There are people who after more than 10 days are still positive in pcr

I think it takes 3 days for symptoms too show, he's probably getting mixed up with that.

PCR cannot be relied upon so soon after infection. It is well known that it cannnot distinguish between live and dead virus so can still give a positive result after the person is no longer infectious.

The majority of the people I know who have had it say that nine days after symptoms first start they feel relatively better. Tbh I am not sure how long you are contagious after catching it.
