correcy hyperterminal commands?

FIRSTLY I APPRECIATE ANY HELP ANYONE CAN PROVIDE ME. PS I HAVE SEARCHED AND TRIED VARIOUS COMMANDS WITH NO LUCK .
please can someone post or clarify the correct commands (non update and changing the mac address) for hyperterminal ?
using rs232 interface and ambit 200

i have done alot of searching and found the following:

and the other tutorial newbie ntl tutorial [DLMURL]http://www.world-of-digital.com/foru...ad.php?t=62944[/DLMURL]

the non update command

cd non-vol\snmp
max_dload_tries 0
write
cd \
reset


is that correct ? as it is from the tutorial

Cd non-vol then press Enter
Cd halif then press Enter


Can someone please clarify the actual steps and commands please ?

copy and paste that into hyperterminal and thats it then do the mac change im taking it u know how to do that bit? this one is just to stop the update

bit of a stupid question,

how do I enter these comands?

I tried to enter them in hyperterminal but it wont let me type the comands in so I can't send them.

lol is your like max233 connected right the black wire on ground like.. coz i had no info in hypertem either till i realised i had the connecotr on wrong way round heh
