In the description part for both of these items, the MEMORY TYPE is different.. one has FLASH ONLY and other one has the HARD DRIVE ONLY... what's the difference?

The Ipod uses a solid state hard drive. Solid state hard drives use flash memory rather than mechanical drives for weight and size reasons. They are less effected by sudden changes in G-force (e.g. when you drop it), but are more effected by temperature extremes and only have a limited number of write cycles.

So both descriptions are technically correct, but the one stating hard drive only is more correct as they're not as easy to upgrade/swap out as the flash memory for a mobile or digital camera. In fact if they're like the 1st gen nano the memory modules are soldered direct to the PCB.

[EDIT]Actually on double checking the touch does use flash memory as storage, not solid state hard drives.[/edit]

they are both for the touch, which doesnt use a hard drive.

the 32gb model is over £300 on the Apple website, so to get one for £250 would be a bargain.
