hi was wondering if any one has any ideas on what chorus is useing for there sat system in the south of ireland . i know that they use nagra 1 ,the same as n*l for there cable system but in dundalk .if u can not get cable they are offering a "dish system" anyone from there know what it is ..?????.

any help would be gratefull.

Hi mate-I'm not from there myself but have family there. Are Chorus still around as I thought they were taken over by NTL? Also in more remote areas the digital signal is broadcast via an aerial. It works in a similar way from what i've heard, in Dublin the def Freq is slightly different being 258.000 as opposed to 291.000 for hard cabled areas. Not too sure about the rest of the Republic but if you know someone with a box nearby check the freq on their box. They seem to be using the small Pace boxes there, the 221KN but as far as I know you need a paired card to get the numbers from the box. Shame cos my bro-in Law has 2 of those which have false details on.
