Ok so i have a ps2 slim, its disk drive spinner has broke, i took it to a few places to see how much repairs were and its about £50 wherever i go. I still have all the games for it, so i have backed them up onto my computer (well a friend has). Anyways im after a chip, as softmodding isnt possible now due to my disk drive breaking (as far as i know), and im hoping its possible to get a chip that can read backups off a usb stick. I think this will be the easiest and cheapest way for me (im skint without a job).

Any recommendations of a chip that support reading a memory stick. My model is SCPH-75003 and all my games and ps2 are PAL. Thanks :)

TBH its not worth repairing now, too expensive, the value of the console is very low now, £40 brand new at sainsburys.
