channels dissapearing during scan

ive tryed a search on this but i couldnt find much info,

the problem is i have channels missing, i know how to do another scan using a existing transponder to pick up the missing channels, however when i do this i always end up losing channels? is there anyway in the settings to make the box not remove the channels. im running DW 1.6

trouble +1 is one of them, i cant remember the rest off the top of my head, im in the teesside area
