I'm swapping out a bike chain like for like on a mtb. Both chains are same make/model No do I just count the links ?. The new one is one link bigger than the old when put side by side so I take it the old's stretched about 1 link longer ?

Count them m8 but say old one is 110 and the new one is 111 that will make no difference slap it on :)

Should get one of them , save you a fortune if you use your bike a lot

Bike Chain Wear Indicator Hand Tool Gauge

If your chain is stretched loads you probs need a new cassette and chain rings

You know soon as you put the new chain on your gear shifting will be bad skipping gears etc
