Ah, I've not been clicking one of the suggested names that comes up but just entering the text and letting the forum resolve it. I did notice that the space was added if I do click one in the list that comes up though.

I think it's just the way that the Ajax is working with mentions @Spectre.

If you don't use a mention does it do any of this?

I get that weird cursor jumping thing when I reply using quotes. Although I can't remember if it does it when I quote a post with only text.

It doesn't do anything strange when I don't use Mentions.

I thought it was something JS related.
