my mum (73) car tax expired on April 30 and her MOT expired today

how can I tax the car without MOT soonest appointment I can get is June 7th FFS

does she drive the car or what ?

NO cause if she gets pulled the police will know straight away, everything is on pesky databases these days. If, god forbid, she is involved in a accident, then her insurance is null and void.

You can drive to an MOT station with no MOT and no TAX according to this thread Taxing MOT

you need to know someone that works at a post office mate thats the only way.

BUT....just declare car off road till MOT is done and dont drive it cos sodls law says she will get pulled over.

she is a blue badge holder so tax is free

but to reiterate, without an MOT the car is not road legal. So breaking the law. all MOT's are now barcoded and stored in a national database which is linked to the PNC.

If she has an accident she is screwed.

phone the dvla and explain to them about it and see wot they advise

i fill sorry for you but do not drive the car if you book it in for a mot you can drive to and from the mot place only
she left it to late so now she paying the price its only go on the data list after 28 days i think but dont chance it
