Hi,

I have tried to flash my Nokia DBox2 x2 with an ethernet cable and a null modem cable, but it doesn't detect the network, the box doesn't even boot up, it gets stuck before it loads the kernal.

I have also tried the null modem option to flash it and it didn't do it.

So can anyone please help???

Appreciated

If the box isn't booting up, i.e. stuck at 'loading kernel' or 'kein system', then there's only 2 ways you can flash it.

IFA (Image Flash Assistant)
Hyperterminal method and null modem cable

If I read your post right, I think you've tried both of these methods and failed.

There's a few guides in the download section for flashing using the hyperterminal method, have you checked them out?

Hi,

thanks for the reply, but i've tried both ways.

The ethernet way can't detect the box.

The null modem takes too long and it didn't even finish properly.

So i don't know what to do???!!!!

Use both cables and Post what you get in the IFA com window when you try to flash it.

The hyperterminal method is long but usually works if the correct commands are entered.

Maybe have a look at the guides in the download section, there are a few for this method. They might be written differently but do the same thing, if you know what I mean.

What have you got to loose? It's a door-stop as it is.
