Can you patch a TM 5400 with usb memory stick ?

I am sure i have read somewhere that you can just copy the patch onto a mem stick and plug into your receiver. Is this posible ?? if not then it looks like i will have to get one of them usb to R232 cables.

sometimes there is a mention on packages available on the patch file.

the latest released patch fixes a few bugs(read from another source).
