Can`t access website??

Hi I have noticed that i cannot access a few websites in my favourite list. It comes up as website not found. Ebuyer.com is one. any ideas

Hi mate, have you tried typing the address in and then goint to the site?

Maybe something has gotten corrupted!

For example the ebuyer address is :- http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/home/

Give it a try and see what happens!

are u using any software like PeerGuardian? that could be blocking certain websites.

yeah peerguardian springs to mind here

great software but you need to disable http blocking for some sites

hi guys thanks for the advice . Not using the peer software and have typed in the address still no joy. Is there something in internet options that would stop certain site

yeah, if your using IE (internet explorer), that could be blocking the website.

heres how check if is in your 'blocked sites' list: open IE, then go to "tools" -> "internet options" -> "security" -> "restricted sites" and click on "sites" then check if it is on the list.

I also think its your internet explorer, try someother Browser, if your on AOL use that otherwise Netscape

use the run command type in cmd

the dos prompt will popup type in

nslookup websitehere.com

see what output you get

then type in

Ping websitehere.com

if you get a postive reply from ping and nslookup your internet explorer is not to blame
