Can Somebody Please Help on SAGEM

I have just received a Sagem 1X and I have the following messages.

On the LCD screen I have PREMIERE Einen Moment Bitte which stays for a long time.

Now it says Ihr receiver hat den. Fehlercode UD4. Mit "ok" starten sie neu, andere Tasten bringen Sie weiter.

When I press OK the box just re-boots exactly the same way

I have done many of these with no problems, I have tried both FTP and IFA which have been successful in the past.

Any help would be much appreciated.

many thanks in advance

Dont think its in de-bug mode m8
That is exactly what I thought m8. Is that easy to do or should I just send it back. The fleebay ad said it was in debug and had the latest Linux and Sportster image on.

Never done it myself but by all accounts it is very easy to do, i am sure there are plenty of ppl on here that can help should you get stuck.
good luck

If you get such a screen on boot up for a few seconds debug mode is enabled.
Right I have managed to get the box to the screen you show. Now do I need to put Neutrino on. Because after putting into debug mode and re-booting it comes back to PREMIERE Einen Moment Bitte

You now need to use IFA (Image Flashing Assistant) to flash a new image onto the box. I recommend a Sportster or gav's new updated image.

Then you're done! :)

Sorry Liam for sounding a little dumb as this is my very first effort to debug. I am left with the screen as above. Where does Neutrino come into it?

Thanks for you replies

Sportster or any of the other images in the downloads section are 'Neutrino-based' images - thats where the neutrino comes in to it.

You can also get 'enigma' images, but you should stick with a neutrino image for now.

Liam.

Just do as liam says and use ifa to flash a new image on to it
make sure you use a 1x image this will sort everthing out for you.
Hope this helps.

Thanks guys for all your help. I think I must have a problem with IFA. I have used it several times before with no problems but lately I havent been able to flash using it so I have FTP'd instead. Its obviously a problem with my equipment and I'm sure I will sort it.

Strangely it started to go wrong when I added a second network card to use specifically with my Dbox. I have since removed the card and its only IFA that I get problems.

Thanks again black_arab

Sometimes you have to reset the box a few times in order for IFA to hook onto it properly and for the box to display flashing. Persistance will usually pay here
