can my dm500c image work on my mates dm500s

Hi All,
Can someone let me know if my image will work on my mates dm500s, i have a dm500c with enigma dw 2.0 working fine, i backed up a copy with dreamup and then copied to his dm500s but he said it showed the image but wont scan, he lives 10 miles from me and does,nt have cable in his area.....im not sure if its to do with the N3, my question is do i need an image just for sat for him? i have only limited knowledge with these machines so any info would be appreciated..........cheers.

In theory yes, but the DW image is geared towards the UK Cable side of things.

The image auto recognises the sat tuner though.

Does work, it will scan if he chooses the right scan settings but if he wants to use ccam he'd be better sticking pli jade on it.

thanks guys for your knowledge, i will go to his house tomorrow and try to sort it for him.....
can anyone pm me a copy of pli jade for dm500s as i cant seem to find one.....

All you need to do once the PLi image is on is set up the dreambox on his network and all the extras can be added via the blue button menu under downloads. If you get stuck post in the sat dreambox section.
