Burmese Government - what have they to hide?

The disaster in Burma is devastating and the Burmese government simply can't cope with the shear destruction of it's country.

But!

They are refusing aid from outside, they need this aid, they are letting their own people suffer and die. All because they are scared what the UK and Americans do when they get in, they are scared we will spy on them!!!

WTF???

You need help, we are wanting to help, if they are scared of us, what really have they got to hide??

very strong military regime, thousands will die because of it. they think that the west will try to overthrow them if it is allowed in, but we could hand the "Aid" to one of the groups that are allowed in, this would still be helping those poor people.

it doesnt matter if we hand the aid to others there still "diverting "it away from their own people ,they are in the middle of and election which is more important than their own people and the dictator spent 10 million on his own daughters wedding and only gave 2 milllion to his own people

They severely distrust the UK above all others I think, but they should be taking us all up on the offer of free food....
