Hi

Just recently moved house and BT finally got around to getting my Fibre connected, almost 2 weeks late

Anyway they provided a new HH6 but I wanted to use my own Netgear D6400

I want to connect my Asus RT-AC68U to the Netgear

I used to put my Virgin SH3 into modem mode and used the Asus as the main router at my previous address

Can I do the same with the Netgear? I've been Googling but not finding much

TIA

all you will need to do is connect from a yellow port on the bt router and to the dsl port on the netgear and it should work as an access point

I assume he wants to put his Netgear D6400 into modem mode only, and use his Asus as the router commonly known as bridge mode.

Question's

Is the D6400 able to run in Modem only mode?

The best recommendation would be to use a Zyxel modem, and connect to that in bridge mode.

He would get better stability and have the ability to run DSLSTATS and upload to MWDS.

Do you know what kind of can you are connected to?

ECI or Huawei?

I think you can set the HH into bridge mode and this will allow you to use your own router - similair to a SH in modem only mode
