hi,

i use the above program and yes it's very nice and stuff but it's always deleting all my channels,

i import the Bouquet file and then after it's loaded it i then go down the list and delete the channels that i want deleted......then i go to export to the dbox, it tells me to then refresh the channel list which i've done and then there are no channels at all, i have to put my files back via ftp var/tuxbox/config/zapit....

what am i doing wrong do you think ?

Probably better to download the XML files from the box via FTP to your desktop, open the file on your PC into the program (instead of importing), making your changes, saving (instead of exporting), and then FTP'ing the files back to the box.

That way you can inspect the files BEFORE they are sent back to the box.
I personally have had no problems doing it this way.

Liam.

ok edited the file and tried it, went to refresh channel list and got no channels were found ?

must be some thing that i'm doing in Bouquet Wizard

im loading the services file and then deleting the channels i want to delete....

I've had a similar problem ate. Had a lok at the service file that the program generates and it is in a different format to the dbox version. It mentions satellite transponder and stuff!!!
Only used it on my laptop, so not sure if it has been pdated cos my download says it will auto update after install, so it might be worth trying to update it.
Cheers

Hi guys, I didnt want to start a new thread with my problem so just added it in here... hope no1 minds.
Are there any bouquet wizard - wizards out there ?
Im using cyro sportster pro 1.4b on a sagem dbox2 and I cant seam to get bouquet wizard working. Ive tried versions 2.0 and 2.1 and tried loading from a local file as well as the dbox file. Every time I try and import I get an "XML format unknown" error message. I first thought this was maybe due to a bad file but I ve tried several XMLs (my own and others). I also thought it maybe from a bad transfer from the dbox. I usually just use explorer to transfer the files. Do the non-binary transfer cause lots of problems ? As i said Ive tried lots of different xml files so I dont think its that. has any1 else had this bother. I understand I can just edit them manually but I just wanted to use the features of this program... .... ... ... sorry of youve wasted 2 minutes of your life reading this but Ive just cracked the problem.

Good tip i can give is to look at the file that BW generates, make sure the file names are all in lower case i.e. services.xml not Services.xml, if it is just edit the file! I had this problem took me ages to realise what was going wrong!

Also if you have problems with the unknown XML format just ignore the warning, create you bouquet, then when you export, save to a file and change the output options from 'same ans input' to 'cable'
