Ring Tones bought a data cable but dont know how to use it

hi all
please dont shout at me if this has been asked before ok here goes:
i bought a motorola V220, a data cable, driver disk and a cd of ringtones and wallpapers. but how do i use it? no instructions, the manual doesnt say either, it says how to compose a tune, i want to know how to, by using the data cable and the cd put the tune or wallpaper onto my phone.
is there a user guide (for dummies) out there, can anyone point me in the right direction as i havent a clue.

u may need some software to connect phone to pc if there is not any with it just a thought

if your having difficulty connecting it to ur pc check the motorola website for drivers/ updates
