Got this phone as part of upgrade

This is brand new never switched on, its from O2 not sure if unlocked, O2 website says its comes unlocked but cant verify this

looking on ebay they go for 250 quid but I will accept 200 pounds

So, following consultation, we have confirmed that mobile companies will be banned from selling locked phones. This will allow people to move to a different network with their existing handset, hassle-free. The new rules will come in from December 2021.

Does O2 lock devices?​

Most devices are no longer locked to our network. Since 1 August 2018, Apple devices bought directly from us are no longer locked. And almost all new devices shipped after January 2019 are now unlocked, with Huawei dongles being unlocked since April 2019. Alcatel and Doro devices are the exceptions – they’re still locked.
