Hi all

Having just got a Blade 5000s for a mate, I'm struggling to get the 9991 menu to come up? I've flashed the box with the latest firmware and see the porn option is added to the 'Net App' option on the scrolling bar.

Pressing 9991 on the remote only gives the message invalid channel.

Any kind person want to point me in the right direction....I'm obviously missing something here.

Thanks

If your trying to enter a line you do that via usb there is not usually a 9991 menu option on the 5000s unless your use the below.

Found some instructions for you

Unzip the files.

Load the ".ssu" file onto a pen drive.

Menu - Setup - Update and Back Up - Image Upgrade.

Pick the ".ssu" file and update the image.

Box will reboot.

Go to

Channel - Blade Online

Load the channel list for your area, eg, london, granada etc

Box will reboot.

Open the config file with notepad.

Paste in your line

C lines are at the top, N lines near the bottom, depending on what type you are using.

Make sure you paste over the "#" at the start of each line you enter.

Put it on your pen drive.

Menu - Setup - Update and Back Up - Image Upgrade.

This time pick the config file.

Reboot your box, it doesn't do it automatically.

Hold your breath and pace up and down a bit (optional)

There is no 9991 option like on the BM7000s, the line is entered by USB

Hi and thanks for the response.

I've just downloaded that link and installed by usb and it rebooted then I downloaded the channel list from Blade Online. On my Blade 7000, I would then select 9991 and the option would come up to put CCam settings in for $ channels.....that's where I'm getting lost....not getting a hidden menu?

Thanks

Sorry - I see you've added to the previous post. Thanks.

I need to get my head around the below and work out how to get the ccam settings in?

Open the config file with notepad.

Paste in your line

C lines are at the top, N lines near the bottom, depending on what type you are using.

Make sure you paste over the "#" at the start of each line you enter.

Put it on your pen drive.

Menu - Setup - Update and Back Up - Image Upgrade.

This time pick the config file.

Reboot your box, it doesn't do it automatically.

Hold your breath and pace up and down a bit (optional)

I see the config file and opened in notebook.

Unsure how I should enter the server address, port, username and password? Any examples of the format I need to put in?

Hi mate,

Unfortunately not. I'm getting the porn option so I know the flash is working. Open the config with notebook and copied and pasted my line from the supplier email. Taken out the # as instructions. Getting all the freeview channels fine but other channels are still scrambled......a bit like my head at the minute!

:silly:

Just noticed an error on the copy and paste line....will try again with glasses on this time!

Hooray!!:banana::banana::banana:

Many thanks Ferret....without you pointing out that config file and putting the line in, I would have been here until next week.

Many, many thanks for your time.

did you manage to get the 9991 menu? i got the 9991 menu yesterday and then when i flashed my config file i can no longer get the 9991 menu up but i get the $ channles to unscramble.
