I'm always intrigued as to who does the lottery winning. Does my tree in that Postcode Lottery when all the neighbors come pouring out like thier best f***in pals when most can't even say "Morn", they must say to them, if you don't hold hands no cheque f off.
I'm not really on about the millionaires more intrigued about those 20k'ish upwards winners, Not life changing but enough to just makes things abit easier for a while.

Or a big horse football golf etc win with the bookies ?.
I'll start off, not a biggy by any stretch of the imagination but it's my biggest:

I (well we) won just over 2k on the lottery. I was one off the jackpot got 5 mine was 37, 36 came out for £2.4 million.
What did we do ? blew it on a 10 nights in all-inclusive Tenerife, money well spent as we'd not been away for 4 years paying crap off
What's yours ? Or family friends ? And did they treat you ?

wow unlucky m8 !!! still a nice win 2k enjoy ;)

Most iv won was £305 ( 3 numbers ) on the Irish lotto , 50p a line ect wow was a good weekend lol ;)

I once won £84 on the pools :) we bought a microwave, not really a big win, but had me dancin' around the front room like the time I won £20 on Dennis Taylor winning the world championship.

I won £1400 on 5 numbers 1 off 2.8 million and 1 more than £42 lol. Still nice and bought some stuff for the house with it :) We used Birthdays in the numbers got all except 18. it was 13 we had (my Daughters Birthday) She was due on the 18th :( . So near.

Bloke at work won £32000 i think it was on the postcode lottery hes the most unsociable bloke ive ever met. Never speaks never say morning hardly looks at ya.

Totally different on the advert with him on, actually looked like he had a jolly persona he has none.

Most ive won on the lottery was a tenner bought a curry was an excellent curry mind.

Won £1100 on a footy acca few years back. Think it ended up paying for stuff daughter needed for Uni.

i put a £1 goals galore on a saturday, but years ago i used to pu £1 lucky 15 with tax it came to £16.90
never won much till i hit a lucky spell and over the space i too judt ovet £2000 with one of them getting beat by a short head
A few years later i starting puting lines on again and over the space i won all in about £4500 That put a stop to the bookies and thats why i used to like putting it on here
i never fancied to football and i worked in a bar on a saturday afternoon and my nate said to me pick to from each section amd put a couple of quid on it. I put a £5 not realixing the odds were £20 00000 or so to odds as it was first game of season.9 gameswhere up waiting on Hibs and Kilmarnock for draw and i think it was kilmarnock scored 1n the 93 rd minute I just threw the line in bin wits for you wont go buy everybody else in the pub was sick

The wife of a bloke I used to drink with had a share of the jackpot back in 2004. She was part of a 12 strong syndicate of school dinner ladies who picked up nearly £200k each.
There were about 6 of us who met regularly at a certain pub. He never even offered us a pint :(

Horses just over 2K , football £900, Casino Z$14.5K between 4 of us back in the late 70's, Lottery £115, football pools got a cheque once for £1.80 for 6 score draws and 2 no score draws, still have it somewhere uncashed.

I worked with a guy who won just over 7 million quid about ten years ago. Him and his two sons all got £2.4 million each. He was in his late 50s and worked on for several months after, so a financial advisor could sort his finances out.
I bumped into him a couple of months after he had left work and I was talking to him about how he was set for life and he actually said to me that it wasn’t a lot of money. I had to hold my tongue as his wife was with him. 😳🤯

Most I have won is 4 number on the lottery 🙄

Some good reads there interesting :). I remember some years ago mid late 80's pre mobile phone and online days it was visit the bookies if you wanted a bet.

There were three of us m8s on a building job nr China town Manchester so we always headed to the bookies.

The lad who use to take me work in his car brought into work this book he'd bought from Smith's at the weekend for the beginning of the jump season:

"20 horses to follow jumps"

So all 3 of us were sat round dinner table in the cabin and the guy says,

"Hey, 3 of those horses in me book are out today have we chuck in about a tenner and do an e.w patent ? (7bet bet roll up)"
I says what odds (I remember it like yesterday)
33/1
10/1
8/1
I say "Fook that they've no chance , I'm out".
So the other 2 chucked in about £14 -£15 each and did the e.w patent.
The next morning all's I remember was his Ford Sierra bombing down the road towards me to pick me up, he had all his windows all down and on the radio full wack,

"HER NAME IS RIO AND SHES DANCIN ON THE FLOOR" blasting top note with him singing away to it. I thought "He's still pissed !"
But oh no, yep you've guessed it,

All three had won they got 8 grand each.
I actually went to work that day with his car window down just incase I gaffed and I also had to listen to him singing,
CEEELEBRATE GOOD TIMES COM'ON !!
I was just glad that job finished 2 weeks later as we got split up and I never saw him again but if I hear either of them songs it drags the whole thing back up, and I start to baulk again

Once upon a time the interest accumulated by £2.4M was more than enough to live on, make purchases, pay a mortgage etc; Not nowadays though.
The capital would have to be used to generate money otherwise it would dwindle monthly.

That's why I'm glad I haven't got that sort of money o_O
